TITAN POLLUTION CONTROL, the Kingspan Group PLC-owned manufacturer of domestic and commercial sewage treatment plants, has today announced plans to launch much improved new designs of its medium-sized BIOtec domestic sewage treatment plant range.
Speaking about the launch, Titan sales manager, Andy Thompson, said: "Available from 1 June 2003, the new designs are a direct result of a substantial investment in the manufacturing processes at our purpose-built factory in Andover. The new process being employed in the manufacture of the BIOtec models P4, P6 & P12 - the best sellers in the range - is called RTM (resin transfer moulding), which results in a substantially more impact-resistant product - vital on today's busy building sites. The new process replaces the previous method of spraying GRP directly onto a mould and gives 100% integrity of manufacture. Our competitors have yet to adopt this process and therefore cannot guarantee that pinholes, leakage paths or weak spots will not appear in their products due to inconsistent spray thickness. It is a key advancement for the sector which will benefit customers through product innovation, and our workforce through an improved working environment."
The new range of medium sized sewage treatment plants is available with a wider choice of drainage inverts. Originally available in just 1000mm and 1750mm sizes, the range now includes 750mm, 1250mm and 1750mm, giving the builder or installer far more flexibility on site. The 750mm model is available now by special request. All the new models come combined with stylish covers, flush fit handles and improved locking mechanisms.
More importantly, due to the increased primary zone size, improved flow path changes and the redesign of the final settlement chamber, the efficiency process of the plants has increased dramatically. This now gives an unsurpassed level of treatment, creating a new industry standard.
Andy concluded: "Once again, Titan is leading the way through investment and innovation and this is just the first of a number of major product developments we are expecting to announce this year."
