4.With the connecting pipework channels dug, the Biotec can be lowered into the ground. The unit's inlet and outlet orientation are clearly marked and the tank is easily lifted on its supplied lifting eyes.
A concrete base is required for the Biotec to be sited upon. This serves not only to give the unit a secure footing, but also to counter the natural hydraulic pressure from sites with high water tables.

5. Ensuring the unit is straight and level is an imperative. (The Biotec can be installed into recessed areas, but measures must be taken to ensure that the unit is not flooded by surface water run-off).
Once located on the concrete base, the unit is filled with water, while concrete is simultaneously backfilled around the plant. This is to balance inward and outward pressures to the chamber and to avoid any chance of flotation.
The inlet and outlet connections are made and the air blower pipe is connected to the main unit. (The air blower unit itself is located on it's own concrete slab and can be positioned up to 15m from the main tank).
Electrical connections to the air blower unit are buried in armoured conduit and the remaining trenches are filled and landscaped. The unit is now ready for immediate use.
